The Twilight
By: Brian P.

"I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness." (John 12:46)

In the later evening yesterday there was a beautiful twilight. The sky was both gray as night approached and yet a goldem glow remained in the sky as the sun began to set and night came on. It was not yet dark and some light still remained. While the twilight can be a beautiful time it is but of a very short duration. The twilight must give way to either day or night. Twilight must yeild to either light or to darkness. So too my beloved brothers and sisters must we.We can not live in twilight for it will not last. We must either walk in light with Yahweh or in the darkness of sin and Satan. We read in Rom.13:12: "The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light."We must know who we are. "Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness." (1Th.5:5). Or as written in 1Pet 2:9 : "But ye [are] a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light."We can not live in twilight for we read: "Again, a new commandment I write unto you, which thing is true in him and in you: because the darkness is past, and the true light now shineth." (1John 2:8) We also recall the words of Yahshua, the Christ: "I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness." (John 12:46)As the twilight becomes day let us resolve as follows and dress
accordingly and fully:"And that, knowing the time, that now [it is] high time to awake out of sleep: for now [is] our salvation nearer than when we believed. The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light. Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying. But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to [fulfil] the lusts [thereof]." (Rom.13:11-14).
"O house of Jacob, come ye, and let us walk in the light of Yahweh". (Is.2:5)
We can not live in the twilight anymore!
