The Other Harvest
By: Brian P. (CJCC/ AN)

Luke 10:1-2: "After these things the Lord appointed other seventy also, and sent them two and two before his face into every city and place, whither he himself would come. Therefore said he unto them, The harvest truly [is] great, but the labourers [are] few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest."

I was relecting on this passage this morning in prayer. Here I share my thoughts and reflections:Yeshua, the Christ tells us clearly that "the harvest is great." The harvest is ready now and real problem is that the laborers to reap and gather it are few. We are clearly told that to "pray ye therefore the the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth laborers into his harvest."We know that many millioins of our kindred know not who and what they are. This is the great harvest and indeed the laborers are few. The harvest is bountiful and it needs to be reaped and gathered now, not tomorrow. We need to be busy about that task and to pray that more will join in our efforts. More will not join unless we begin the task and we ask Yahweh in prayer to bless our labor and to send us more workers.

We all know what Yeshua, the Christ told us of the wheat and tares (Mt. 13). We know of the angles who will come forth at His command. We know that they will seperate the wheat from the tares. This is indeed the final harvest, but what about the harvest of today until His glorious return to establish the Kingdom? Are we awaiting only the final harvest and neglecting that which presently in the fields? We are clearly told that the
harvest of today is Yahweh's. It is Yahweh who has planted, cared for, nurtured
and guarded the bountiful crop. We are hired to gather what He has planted
and tended. What are you and I doing to reap today's bountiful harvest? Are we allowing the bountiful harvest to remain in fields and rot?The remainder of Luke 10 tells of how those sent forth two by two came back rejoicing! We would do well to review these instructions as we go forth into the fields to harvest..... but go into the feilds we must for we are
commanded and commisioned to do so.The clear instruction here is that we must go forth into the fields to work and labor, to reap and gather the harvest. The bountiful harvest is there, in the feilds waiting. Will we go forth and gather it? We must save the harvest in the fields today or bear the responsibility for it's decay and rot.

Mark 6:34: "And Jesus, when he came out, saw much people, and was
moved with compassion toward them, because they were as sheep not
having a shepherd: and he began to teach them many things."

We too must have concern and compassion upon our kin for they
are indeed like lost sheep. We must begin to teach them who and what
they are. Indeed there are so many, millions upon millions who we must make
every effort to reach!
Rom 10:14:"How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? The harvest is ready! I hope to see you in the fields! We too if we
go forth shall "come back rejoicing!
"Yahweh Bless & Hail Victory!
